An examination is a measure to assess a student’s performance with a view to check whether the student has acquired a certain level of proficiency in terms of predefined parameters.
The parameters selected should be intended to assess the level of knowledge acquired, skills, aptitude, and attitude of the student through various academic activities. It is one of the duties of the University to hold examinations and confer degrees on persons who fulfill the requisite qualifications/conditions.
The Examinations Department mainly deals with the notification of the schedule of examinations, the conduction of examinations, getting the performance of the candidates at the examinations properly assessed, and timely declaration of results and awarding of degrees, for the purpose of simplification, smooth and easier functioning the work of Examination.
After Sri Jayachamrajendra College of Engineering was granted autonomy in 2007, the exam section, which was also known as the "Autonomous office," was introduced. Further, it was renamed "Examinations Office" following the establishment of the JSS Science and Technology University in 2016.
